Hepla® PPA

Hepla® PPA has remarkable properties of good tensile strength, high flexural modulus, creep resistance, dimensional stability, and so on. It remains strong mechanical properties even at high temperatures and highly humid conditions, and shows good resistance to gasoline, oil and coolant.

Hepla® PPA performance comparison of different brands

Hepla® PPA series materials have higher temperature resistance than general engineering plastics, with continuous operating temperatures ranging from 120°C to 185°C (248°F to 365°F) and heat distortion temperatures (HDT) even exceeding 300°. C (572 °F) is a class of engineering plastics with excellent performance.
 
At high temperatures, Hepla® PPA series materials maintain high strength and rigidity and perform better than some nylon materials. And the Hepla® PPA series of materials has a very low moisture absorption rate, and the wet environment does not affect the performance and maintenance of the material properties.
 
NFD engineers have modified the properties of Hepla® PPA base resin, such as mechanical properties, self-lubricating and wear resistance, to meet more demanding applications.
 
The figure below is a comparison of the properties of Hepla® PPA base resin in the addition of different proportions of glass fiber and carbon fiber modified materials.
