Hepla® PA12

Hepla® PA12’s properties are similar to those of nylon 11 except for its crystal structure. Hepla® PA12 is a good electrical insulator and will not affect its insulation performance in moist environment. Compared with Hepla® PA6 and Hepla® PA66, this material has a lower melting point and density. Besides tensile strength and strength to resist impacts that normal nylons have, it also features lower water absorption, remarkable dimensional stability, wear resistance, electrical insulation, impact resistance and chemical stability. High transparency enables Hepla® PA12 to replace PC, COC, PET, and PS for producing transparent parts. Like other nylons, Hepla® PA12 can easily improve its abrasion and physical properties through fiber reinforcement and lubricant injection.

Hepla® PA12 performance comparison of different grades

Hepla® PA12 series materials are a kind of nylon with high flow characteristics, which can further improve the performance of corresponding materials while modifying the basic properties of nylon.
It is worth mentioning that Hepla® PA12 series materials have certain advantages in hygroscopicity and are good electrical insulators to maintain stable performance in humid environments.
The high flowability of Hepla® PA12 allows it to be modified to achieve high performance requirements. You can contact your new Fushun engineer to adapt to your application needs to meet your individual customization needs.
The figure below shows the performance comparison of Hepla® PA12 base resin after adding 10%, 40% glass fiber and adding 10% and 30% carbon fiber.
